Number of Colours

he number of colours in the colour-bar can be set to any value between 7 and 22. The Customise ~ Number of Colours menu item can be activated by right-clicking on the graphic. Select the relevant graphic (if prompted) and set the desired number of colours. The contour levels will be reset automatically using the current Contour Limits , whether they have been set by the user or set automatically. The contour intervals will be set to divide the interval evenly. For example, if the contour limits are 0.5 and -0.5, and you set the number of colours to 10, CPT will set contours at every 0.1, which divides the interval of 1.0 into 10.
